Who We Are

We are Bible-believing people who strive to know, love, and serve God.  Here at Peace United Methodist Church, we believe that we are called to follow the risen Christ, who came to seek and to save the lost.  (Luke 19:10)

We are the Child, learning about Jesus through caring, loving, and teaching hands.

We are the Teen, experiencing the love of Jesus through acceptance and encouragement in a welcoming environment.

We are the Visitor, seeking a comfortable, welcoming place to learn about God and experience fellowship with His people.

We are the New Believer, needing encouragement as we begin our spiritual journey.

We are the Mature Christian, providing wisdom and counsel as we continue our journey of faith.

We are Peace United Methodist Church.

Purpose * Vision * Journey

The life of our church is guided by three statements:

  • Our Purpose is to build a Christian community where non-religious and nominally religious people are becoming deeply committed Christians.

  • Our Vision is to be used by God to change lives, strengthen the church, and transform the world.

  • Our Journey is to know, love, and serve God.

Come dream with us as we continue our journey of knowing, loving, and serving God.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

What We Believe About God

We believe in the one true, holy, and living God, Eternal Spirit, who is Creator, Sovereign, and Preserver of all things visible and invisible. He is infinite in power, wisdom, justice, goodness, and love, and rules with gracious regard for the well-being and salvation of humanity, to the glory of his name. We believe the one God reveals himself as the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, distinct but inseparable, eternally one in essence and power.

What We Believe About Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, truly God and truly man, in whom the divine and human natures are perfectly and inseparably united. He is the eternal Word made flesh, the only begotten Son of the Father, born of the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit. As a ministering Servant, he lived, suffered, and died on the cross. He was buried, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven to be with the Father, from whence he shall return. He is the eternal Savior and Mediator, who intercedes for us, and by him, all humanity will be judged.

What We Believe About The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who proceeds from and is one in being with the Father and the Son. He convinces the world of sin, righteousness, and of judgment. He leads humanity through faithful response to the gospel into the fellowship of the Church. He comforts, sustains, and empowers the faithful and guides them into all truth.

Sharing Our Faith

God’s strategy for changing the world happens one person at a time as each of us comes to know and follow him and receive his saving grace through Jesus Christ. We are called to represent Christ to others by sharing our faith, inviting others, and telling our stories of how God has worked within us.
